The Florida Department of Health offers many services to new parents. Below you can see some of the services offered to new parents and their babies.
Family Health Line

The toll-free hotline offers callers information on helpful community resources and answers to basic questions about pregnancy, breastfeeding, childbirth education, family planning, infants and toddlers. The Family Health Line is available in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.
Florida Healthy Babies

The Florida Healthy Babies is a statewide initiative to positively influence social determinants of health and reduce racial disparities in infant mortality.
Florida Healthy Babies provides classes, training and workshops to pregnant women, mothers with infants, families and the community in general. Assistance is available in Spanish (Hablamos EspaƱol).
Healthy Start

The Healthy Start program is available to all pregnant women and mothers with infants in Seminole County. This program is voluntary and eligibility is not based on financial factors. A free health screening is provided at your first visit with a doctor or at the hospital after your baby is born. The health screening helps to identify if your baby is at-risk for:
Pre-term birth
Health problems
Fetal/infant death
Low birth weight
Developmental delays
Text4baby
Text4baby is a free service that will send text picture of a young woman texting on her phonemessages to you with information on a variety of topics such as prenatal care, immunizations, nutrition, oral health, safe sleep, seasonal flu, preventing birth defects, and other topics related to maternal and child health.
