Katie Freeman Dressage at Summer Wind Farm

USDF Gold, Silver & Bronze Medalist

Katie has been riding horses since she was 9 years old. She started out with pony club and low-level eventing but switched to dressage when she was 18 years old. At only 24 years old she opened the gates of Summer Wind Farm in Apopka, FL.

She has trained many horses to Grand Prix level including her two current competition horses Rowan and Falena SWF.

She imported her gelding Rowan (Rascalino x Hohenstein) from Germany when he was only 2 years old and she homebred her mare Falena (Fabuleux x Noactor). After starting Falena herself, Katie took her to her first show as a 4-year-old. By the time she was 6, Falena was ranked among the top in the nation in the FEI 6-Year-Old division.

She just recently started doing CDI’s with both, Rowan and Falena.

At home she trains our sale horses and client’s horses, and she also travels to a few farms to teach and ride.
