
We showcase the history of graphic novels, comics, and cartoons, learn about narrative storytelling and the ancient history of "cinematic universes," and explore the works of local illustrators and comic-artists like Charlie Carlson, Bill Bush, Albin Polasek, and more! Campers will craft their own graphic stories over four days and explore their artistic side. Kid Campers will craft their own graphic story over four days while dissecting children’s books, comics, and cartoons to find out how they convey messages and emotions while still telling an engaging tale.
Teen campers will study how graphic media can convey meaningful, compelling themes and explore art styles from around the world expressed in sources from political cartoons to graphic novels and manga.
