Get ready for an exciting 5K race in downtown Apopka. Our scenic course offers a mix of suburban, city, and park views, with moderate hills and a pedestrian bridge overpass.
Course starts on Fifth street, a thriving part of downtown Apopka’s Community Redevelopment Area. The first two kilometers takes place on city streets and passes through notable landmarks, such as Station Street, Apopka Police Department, Apopka Museum, and local businesses before looping around the beautiful Hilton Garden Inn fountain. For the next 2.5 kilometers, the course heads North on the popular West Orange Trail, one of Florida's most popular rail-trails that connects communities such as Winter Garden, Oakland, and Wekiwa Springs. Along this portion of the course, you’ll cross the notable West Orange Trail pedestrian bridge before passing through Kit Land Nelson Park, before turning back and completing the course in downtown Apopka.
