Oviedo Youth Basketball

City of Oviedo's Athletic Department offers a variety of sports throughout the year to help you stay active.

Divisions Offered
5/6 and 8U Recreational Divisions
These divisions will be strictly instructional and fun. Playing time is guaranteed. Teams will be formed by City staff members and the League Coordinator. All participants will receive participation awards for their performance and hard work. Score will not be kept for the 5/6 Division. The 8U Division does keep score and will have playoffs.

10U, 12U, 14U and High School Recreational Divisions
These divisions will concentrate on the fundamental skills, while being more strict on the rules of the game. Playing time is guaranteed. Players will be evaluated at the player ratings day. Teams will be formed by City staff members and the League Coordinator based on the players ratings to ensure all teams are competitive and balanced. Awards will also be given to the league champions at the conclusion of the playoffs.
