Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Rescue Outreach Mission.
We love groups, and there are more opportunities for groups. Those include:
Provide and serve a meal for our guests.
Lunch = approximately 60 guests, served noon – 1 p.m.
Dinner = approximately 100 guests, served 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Do a shelter update (painting, landscaping, etc.)
Help with maintenance (cleaning, repairing, etc.)
Host a supply drive.
Due to shelter space, groups are limited to 10 for any particular task, but we can accommodate larger groups by splitting them into smaller groups with multiple projects.
Individual volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:
Help in the kitchen with lunch/dinner prep on Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri ~ 9 a.m. – noon
Help with shelter updates, like painting and special projects
Help with maintenance, like cleaning, repairing, etc.
Help with organizing our donation closets Mon, Wed, Fri ~ 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.
Be a guest specialist assistant by helping monitor the door, assisting guests with needs, and helping people drop off donations
Many individual volunteer positions can be flexible once you have been trained. We do request that individual volunteers come on a recurring basis so that our guests and staff can plan accordingly. Basic background check required for all individual volunteers. Unfortunately, we do not accept court-ordered community service.
The best way to get a feel for our shelter is to come out to take a tour to see what we do firsthand.
Please be aware that we do not have any court-ordered volunteer opportunities at this time.
