Seminole County Public Schools offers an after school driver education program at three high school sites: Lyman, Seminole and Winter Springs High School. The program is open to any student that resides in Seminole County regardless of the school that they attend. The course is offered from August 25-December 2.
Students must be a minimum of 15 years old and hold a valid learner’s permit. The course includes classroom instruction, range driving and on the road instruction with certified driver education instructors. This is a semester course with students attending class from 3:15-5:15 PM on either Monday and Wednesday at Lyman High or Tuesday and Thursday at Seminole and Winter Springs High. Students earn .5 credit upon successful completion of the course. Transportation is not provided.
