Cranes Roost Park is at the heart of Uptown Altamonte surrounding Cranes Roost Lake. The lake is encircled by one mile of continuous walkway with benches and covered seating areas. Within the 45-acre park is a European-style plaza including a choreographed fountain show, a 62-foot picturesque tower and the Eddie Rose Amphitheater which features stadium-style seating and a one-of-a-kind floating stage.
One of the popular hallmarks of Cranes Roost Park is its entertaining fountain, featuring beautifully choreographed shows created specifically for the park. Located in the heart of the plaza and surrounded by seating and picnic tables, the fountain contains 4,500 gallons of chlorinated water, 61 water jets and 60 lights capable of producing over 16.7 million colors. Three different shows perform nightly except during events.
Show Hours
The fountain show runs nightly at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m.
The City of Altamonte Springs is proud to unveil Nurture, an impressive steel sculpture of a crane caring for her young. The new public art piece is a welcome addition to Cranes Roost Park, where it represents the indelible power of family, togetherness and belonging.
Fishing is allowed during open park hours from the north and southeast shorelines. Fishing is prohibited from the boardwalks, platforms and any areas where there is raised railing.
