Geneva Dark Sky Night

The Emil Buehler Planetarium and the Central Florida Astronomical Society are teaming up to host telescope viewing under the dark skies of Seminole State's Public Safety Training Complex and Driving Track at the Geneva Center.
Telescopes will be set up on the center's driving track, which provides ample space and clear horizons to view the entire sky. Planetarium staff will also provide several constellation laser tours of the night sky.
Please note that this event is held outdoors and observing is contingent upon good weather conditions. Please check back on the planetarium’s webpage within 12 hours of the event start time for a final decision on whether the event will be canceled due to inclement weather.
This is a free event that is open to everyone. We encourage anyone who owns a telescope to bring it to the viewing area and volunteers will be around to assist you in the operation of the telescope. We also suggest bringing chairs, blankets, binoculars, snacks and bug spray for your comfort.
