Altamonte Springs Annual Events

Family Fest (May): This beloved family event returns with a few new twists. Focusing on learning, kids are encouraged to think outside the box with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities and demonstrations. The event also includes a scavenger hunt, plus classic activities like a fishing derby.

Red Hot & Boom (July): Come rain or shine, Red Hot & Boom will deliver an unforgettable night of great performances, mouthwatering eats and beautifully synchronized fireworks. Join one of Central Florida's most patriotic traditions and come on out for a night filled with good old-fashioned fun!

Halloween at Cranes Roost Park (October): Halloween at Cranes Roost is a community-oriented, door-to-door trick-or-treat alternative for kids brought to you by the City of Altamonte Springs. The event features local businesses sponsoring booths to hand out candy and trinkets to an estimated 15,000 kids. The event kicks off with trick-or-treating around Cranes Roost Lake and live entertainment, followed by costume contests, games and surprises throughout the event.

Light Up the Holidays (End of November-December):
The City of Altamonte Springs and Duke Energy celebrate the tradition of lighting up Cranes Roost Park with live music, entertainment, fireworks, train rides, along with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Watch as the park comes alive with spectacular holiday displays featuring 200,000 lights and a 60-foot tree decorated with thousands of ornaments and garland.
