Philosophy

The Cooperative School at Northland strives to lay a foundation that allows children to grow and develop in “wisdom, stature and favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52) acting as a resource for parents as they “train up a child in the way he should go.” (Proverbs 22:6) In light of this philosophy, the Cooperative School utilizes parents as classroom helpers to set the stage for their continued involvement in their children’s education. Cooperating in the classroom exposes parents to the capabilities of many children thereby gaining a unique perspective on their own child. The school seeks to promote community, provide accountability and minister to parents as well as children.
