Devil's Den

Visit Devil's Den -- an underground spring inside a dry cave in central Florida. The remains of many extinct animals from the Pleistocene Age (2 million - 10,000 years ago) were discovered here, including the bones of early man, dating back to 75,000 B.C.

The pleasant year-around temperature of 72 degrees in the Den allows comfortable diving, winter or summer. On cold winter mornings you can see steam, like smoke, rising from the cave's chimney. Hence, the early settlers called the place Devil's Den.

Devil's Den Spring is a privately owned scuba diving training center. We offer snorkeling 7 days a week (mon - thur 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and fri - sun 8 a.m. to 5 p.m). No certification is necessary, so come enjoy the day with your family and explore everything this natural wonder has to offer. Children under 6 years of age will not have access to Devil's Den.

Anyone under the age of 18 years old MUST have YOUR parent on site. Access to the spring is limited to those who are snorkeling or scuba diving.

Along with tent and RV camping, we have four cabins and one double-wide trailer. Our cabins sleep 4 people while our double-wide sleeps 6 people.
