 take along on summer adventures! Be sure to bring your Reading Buddies to e
 ach Summer Reading Challenge event and track their travels in a special “pa
 ssport.”<br /><br />Kindness Quilts | June 18<br />This week is all about c
 onnection. Just like the memories that link friends and family, kids will j
 oin cloth squares together to create a Kindness Quilt. No sewing or craftin
 g experience is needed.<br /><br />Making Fireworks Work | June 25<br />Dis
 cover what makes fireworks really work! Learn the history and science behin
 d them, create colorful salty firework art and watch an amazing “fireworks 
 in a jar” demonstration that shows how these dazzling displays light up the
  Fourth of July.<br /><br />The Bee’s Knees | July 9<br />Get ready to buzz
  with excitement! Kids will explore the world of bees—nature’s top pollinat
 or—by crafting paper bees, collecting Cheeto “pollen” and testing how much 
 they can carry in flight.<br /><br />Agamograph Art | July 16<br />Now you 
 see me, now you don’t! Learn how animals like butterflies use camouflage an
 d optical illusions to stay safe. Participants will create colorful butterf
 ly agamograph art that hides in plain sight.<br /><br />Bird Feeder Bowls &
  Butterfly Release | July 23<br />Celebrate our vibrant community! Make bir
 d feeders, witness a butterfly release and take home a milkweed kit to rais
 e your own butterflies. Don’t forget to bring your completed reading challe
 nge sheet to earn a prize-filled goodie bag.
