 orming Arts Center is proud to be presenting Shrek the Musical TYA edition!
  \n\nThis production is open to performers ages 8-18, and we encourage indi
 viduals of all abilities to audition and share their love for theater and s
 torytelling! \n\nJoin Shrek, a grumpy but lovable ogre, on an unforgettable
  adventure to rescue Princess Fiona and reclaim the peace of his swamp. Alo
 ng the way, he teams up with the hilarious Donkey, outsmarts the scheming L
 ord Farquaad, and discovers that true friendship and love come from embraci
 ng who you are. Filled with laughter, heart, and favorite fairy tale charac
 ters, Shrek the Musical TYA is fun for the whole family!\n\nTo prepare for 
 the character audition, you must prepare a one-minute monologue and sing a 
 one-minute song that is upbeat and geared toward your ideal character. Plea
 se bring a karaoke track for your song to sing along to. Monologues do NOT 
 have to be from published pieces and please bring an accompanying track to 
 sing along with at your audition. ​​​\n\nNOTE: If you can't make the auditi
 on date, we are accepting video submissions until 11:59 on Friday, July 17t
 h at 11:59pm! We will also offer a virtual callback option if they are not 
 available to attend on July 18th. Please be sure to indicate whether you wo
 uld need to have an in person audition/callback or a digital audition/callb
 ack.\nRequirements for video submissions are the same as above.  ​​ \n\nOnc
 e auditions are closed, we will email a rehearsal video for the dance porti
 on of the callback, if there will be a dance callback.\n\nCast List will be
  announced by Wednesday evening after Callbacks. It is important to note th
 at if your student gets a callback, there will be a required parent meeting
  at callbacks to explain rules and policies for the show. If your student i
 s at callbacks, they will be getting a part in the show, even if it is not 
 a part that they got called back for. \n\n
