 e with red, white and blue as the 2026 Geneva Independence Day Parade & Fes
 tival returns on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  This 
 cherished community celebration will take place throughout historic Geneva,
  anchored at the Rural Heritage Center, and is proudly presented by the Gen
 eva Citizens Association in partnership with the Rural Heritage Center. \n\
 nRenowned for its authentic small-town atmosphere, the Geneva 4th of July P
 arade & Festival brings neighbors, families and visitors together for a mem
 orable morning honoring America’s independence.  The event is free and open
  to the public, making it an ideal holiday destination for all ages. \n\nA 
 Patriotic Morning Packed with Tradition\nFestivities begin at 8:30 a.m. wit
 h festival vendors opening at the Rural Heritage Center, alongside a popula
 r community car show hosted at Geneva Elementary School, co-sponsored by th
 e Geneva Elementary School PTA and the Geneva Citizens Association.  The mo
 rning will also feature a formal invocation and flag ceremony, setting a re
 verent and patriotic tone for the day.\n\nAt 9:45 a.m. spectators can look 
 to the skies for thrilling vintage airplane flyovers, a highlight that adds
  excitement and historical flair.  The parade officially steps off at 10:00
  a.m., showcasing colorful floats, community groups and hometown pride alon
 g the parade route.\n\nEntertainment, Food and Community Spirit\nFollowing 
 the parade, guests are invited to enjoy local food booths, family activitie
 s and the beloved Geneva Village Homemakers Cakewalk.  Attendees can also p
 articipate in float voting, celebrating the creativity and effort of parade
  participants.\n\nAt 11:15 a.m., the celebration continues with a performan
 ce by The Greater Geneva Grande Award Marching Band, adding music and energ
 y to the festivities.  Float voting concludes at 12:30 p.m., leading into o
 ne of the day’s most meaningful moments – the presentation of the John Edwa
 rd Jones Patriot Awards at 1:00 p.m., honoring individuals who exemplify se
 rvice and dedication to community and country. \n\nA Celebration Rooted in
