 rm on July 4<br /><br />Geneva is the heart of rural Central Florida and wi
 ll come alive with red, white and blue as the 2026 Geneva Independence Day 
 Parade & Festival returns on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00
  p.m.  This cherished community celebration will take place throughout hist
 oric Geneva, anchored at the Rural Heritage Center, and is proudly presente
 d by the Geneva Citizens Association in partnership with the Rural Heritage
  Center. <br /><br />Renowned for its authentic small-town atmosphere, the 
 Geneva 4th of July Parade & Festival brings neighbors, families and visitor
 s together for a memorable morning honoring America’s independence.  The ev
 ent is free and open to the public, making it an ideal holiday destination 
 for all ages. <br /><br />A Patriotic Morning Packed with Tradition<br />Fe
 stivities begin at 8:30 a.m. with festival vendors opening at the Rural Her
 itage Center, alongside a popular community car show hosted at Geneva Eleme
 ntary School, co-sponsored by the Geneva Elementary School PTA and the Gene
 va Citizens Association.  The morning will also feature a formal invocation
  and flag ceremony, setting a reverent and patriotic tone for the day.<br /
 ><br />At 9:45 a.m. spectators can look to the skies for thrilling vintage 
 airplane flyovers, a highlight that adds excitement and historical flair.  
 The parade officially steps off at 10:00 a.m., showcasing colorful floats, 
 community groups and hometown pride along the parade route.<br /><br />Ente
 rtainment, Food and Community Spirit<br />Following the parade, guests are 
 invited to enjoy local food booths, family activities and the beloved Genev
 a Village Homemakers Cakewalk.  Attendees can also participate in float vot
 ing, celebrating the creativity and effort of parade participants.<br /><br
  />At 11:15 a.m., the celebration continues with a performance by The Great
 er Geneva Grande Award Marching Band, adding music and energy to the festiv
 ities.  Float voting concludes at 12:30 p.m., leading into one of the day’s
  most meaningful moments – the presentation of the John Edward Jones Patrio
 t Awards at 1:00 p.m., honoring individuals who exemplify service and dedic
 ation to community and country. <br /><br />A Celebration Rooted in Communi
