SUMMARY:Artist Talk, Experience Contemporary - Myth and Storytelling
LOCATION:Casselberry Art Center, 137 Quail Pond Circle, Casselberry, FL 32707
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Want to gain a deeper insight into the artists inspirations, processes, and
intentions in their artwork? \n\nJoin us for a special artist talk with th
ree of the four artists featured in Experience Contemporary (Myth and Story
telling) at the Casselberry Arts Center on November 7 at 7PM. Boy Kong, Emi
ly Martinez, and Tom Rosenow will be here to talk about their work on displ
ay. They will share their stories and answer questions from the audience. \
n\nExperience Contemporary (Myth and Storytelling) illuminates our human ne
ed to tell stories, create myths, and extract meaning from our experiences.
The work on display contains elements of myth and storytelling in the arti
sts use of hero characters, world building, archetypal themes, and symbols.
We all have our own unique stories to share and interpret as we see fit. T
his exhibition is intended to highlight just how ubiquitous this meaning ma
king is in our everyday lives, how stories guide us, and the agency we each
have to define and redefine our own stories.
