Our Services

Screenings and Evaluations

Are you noticing your child isn’t hitting the expected developmental milestones? Have they shown some early signs of a speech or language disorder? Or have you always struggled with certain areas of speech or language, but never received a diagnosis? If so, the first step is a speech therapy evaluation. We’ll find out what the root cause of your symptoms are and offer you a treatment plan to address it with speech therapy at home in person or online.

Pediatric Speech Therapy

Is your child struggling to learn to read and write? Do they seem reluctant to talk or communicate? Do they have trouble creating certain sounds with their speech? If so, speech and language therapy for children can help. Through working with a pediatric speech therapist, your child will learn to overcome or work around their speech or language difficulties, giving them the best chance at developing a strong, confident voice.

Adult Speech Therapy

When it comes to speech therapy for adults, it usually falls into two categories. Either you have a speech disorder you were born with but were never treated for, or you or a loved one has experienced an event that alters their ability to communicate. Whatever it is that’s causing your concerns, we can help you communicate clearly once more. Online therapy sessions as well as speech therapy at home is available.

Speech and language evaluations are scheduled conveniently using our virtual platform or in your home/school and typically consist of standardized assessments, clinical observations, and parent input in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of your child’s communication skills. From there, individualized recommendations regarding the duration, frequency and format of therapy sessions will be made. Typically taking 60 minutes.
Treatment sessions differ based upon the individual’s unique strengths, interests and challenges. For little ones, treatment is often play-based and skill building is integrated into the activities they are engaged in and motivated by. For older children and adults, treatment includes more structured tasks while engagement is maintained through games and breaks.
Individual treatment sessions are typically 30 minutes in length. The length of treatment from start to finish varies based upon each individuals unique needs. Discharge is typically recommended when a child/adult is demonstrating age-appropriate skills that are supported by data or assessment tools or maximum potential is reached. Ultimately, the individual/family is able to decide when to discontinue based upon satisfaction with progress made or external factors.
