Summer Camp

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is geared to any rising 6th grader or older new to the sport looking to learn to row and have some fun during the summer.  You can do this camp even if you have never rowed before. Participants will try Sweeping, Sculling and do land training. The program is offered as 2-week sessions during weekdays. Activities are from 8am to Noon.

This camp also will cover the requirements for BSA Scouts looking to complete their ROWING MERIT BADGE!  

 

2024 Session Dates: 

Session 1)  June 10-21

Session 2)  July 15-26

 

Activities are weekdays 8am to Noon

*** Either camp provides an opportunity to earn the BSA Rowing Merit badge!***

 

Cost Per Session:

$350.00 per rower per two-week session

All participants must be able to swim prior to joining the camp. The parent or guardian must certify that the youth can pass the swim test noted in the OCBC Swimming Competency Certification.

Registration also requires a doctor's physical examination within the last year. The blank FHSAA form is attached but if you have completed another school or sport form that may be acceptable as long as the physician has confirmed the youth is cleared to participate in an active sport.

Every day camp rowers must bring: a snack, a change of clothes, sunblock, a hat, water shoes, tennis shoes, and a plastic water bottle. Optional items include sunglasses and a towel.
